Brasilito is a quaint town in Costa Rica, located between Huacas and Flamingo. It hosts the Costa Rica International Academy which is one of the premier private schools in the area. The main plaza in the town’s center has a spectacular view of the ocean. Just a little over 2km long, Brasilito is known for its scenic beauty, and offers a wide variety of accommodations, shops, bars and restaurants within a very reasonable budget, where you can also rent horses, motorbikes, diving equipment and much more.
Home to several gated communities, Reserva Conchal and Catalina Cove, Brasilito has transformed over the years. It used to be sparsely populated and now it is one of the more popular areas to live due to its convenient access to the nearby beaches and activities.
Due to its central location you can easily access any of the activities and tours offered in the general area. Conchal beach is walking distance from the main plaza which is mostly used as a parking area for beach goers. Every Sunday there is a baseball game played in the field across the street from the main plaza. The area is centrally located and allows for quick access to all the other popular beaches and locals like Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Surfside, Flamingo, Avellanas and Las Catalinas.
For those who have kids and small children, there are of course public schools in the general area but there are also several great private school options close by.
